Pair of late 18th Century European carved wooden polychromed Portal Pilaster Strips or Caryatids depicting floral maiden figures and decorative floral swirls.
Very attractive architectural pieces that can be displayed in a variety of ways, such as framing a decorative door, window, fireplace, archway or either side of a central artwork such as the Coat of Arms Cartouche as shown in some of the photos. Nice aged green / yellow floral paint patina, with good colour and detail remaining to the heads & hair.
